About RCM Living
We built the formula we couldn't find.
RCM Living started with a question nobody in the supplement industry seemed interested in answering: what happens to your nerves after chemo?
Not during — after. When the treatment ends, the scans come back clear, and your oncologist tells you to get back to living. Except your feet are numb. Your hands tingle. You drop things. You can't button your shirt. You can't feel your grandchild's fingers when they hold your hand.
This is chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy — CIPN. It affects up to 85% of patients who receive neurotoxic chemotherapy agents like paclitaxel, oxaliplatin, and cisplatin. For many, the symptoms don't go away when treatment does. Some report neuropathy 5, 8, even 10 years after their last infusion.
of CIPN patients receive no information about managing their symptoms
of patients on neurotoxic chemo develop some degree of neuropathy
of women still report CIPN symptoms 6 years after treatment
The Gap We Found
When we started researching CIPN, we expected to find a supplement built for these patients. We didn't.
Every neuropathy supplement on the market targets diabetic neuropathy — a completely different kind of nerve damage with a completely different cause. Blood sugar damage and chemo damage do not work the same way. The emotional journey is different. The drug history is different. And the timeline is different.
Worse — some of the most popular neuropathy supplements contain acetyl-L-carnitine, an ingredient that the American Society of Clinical Oncology explicitly warns against for chemo patients. Their own guideline states that clinicians "should not offer and should discourage" its use because it worsened neuropathy at 24 weeks in a clinical trial.
Chemo patients were being sold products designed for someone else's condition — and in some cases, products that could make them worse.
What the Research Told Us
We didn't start by designing a product. We started by reading. PubMed studies. The ALADIN trial. ASCO clinical guidelines. The emerging gut-nerve research. And what we found changed how we understood CIPN entirely.
"Decreases in microbiota alpha diversity during chemotherapy were associated with worse neuropathy symptoms."
Chemo doesn't just damage nerves. It simultaneously destroys the gut microbiome and the intestinal lining — the very system that absorbs every nutrient your nerves need to rebuild. Research from 2019 through 2026 has shown this gut damage is causally linked to worse neuropathy outcomes. Two things break at once. Almost nobody addresses both.
We also found that peripheral nerves can regenerate — about 1mm per day, an inch per month. They are not dead. They are damaged and waiting for specific repair materials. But with a compromised gut, most of those materials pass through without being absorbed. The research problem wasn't whether nerves could heal. It was whether the repair materials could reach them.
What We Believe
We believe "deal with it" is not a recovery plan. We believe research that exists should reach the patients who need it. We believe a formula designed for chemo damage should be different from a formula designed for blood sugar damage. And we believe that if a product doesn't work for you, you should get your money back — no questions, no conditions.
We don't make medical claims. We share the research and let people decide for themselves. Every ingredient in this formula was chosen because the clinical evidence supports it — not because it looks good on a label.
If you're still dealing with neuropathy after chemo, you're not imagining it, you're not being dramatic, and you're not out of options.
